License Policy
Unless otherwise specified, an Ortelius license is a per user/per computer license. A Single-User License allows you to use the application only on one (1) machine at a time. If you need to run Ortelius on multiple systems, we recommend the purchase of a discounted license bundle.
When you first launch Ortelius, you will be presented with a license agreement that must be accepted in order to unlock the software.
Educational licenses are available and require current registration at an accredited academic institution and a valid academic domain e-mail address, to which the license will be sent. Education licenses are for non-commercial uses only. The Ortelius Education Edition carries a subtle watermark reading “Ortelius Education Edition” in the lower right-hand corner of the map area, visible both on screen and in print.
